Humboldt County native and multi-instrumentalist, Zebulon Bowles, is most known for his prowess on fiddle. He also delves into piano/keyboards, mandolin, guitar, bass, and can occasionally be heard taking on lead vocals and harmonies. In 2015, Zeb joined forces with Hot Buttered Rum, a high energy progressive bluegrass band from California. They are also the “Official Bluegrass Band” of The San Francisco Giants and regularly perform the National Anthem at home games (www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzWZwmZ34tQ).
With his lively stage presence and friendly attitude, Zeb is grateful to have performed with a plethora of the festival scene’s favorite acts including Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, Keller & The Keels, Fruition, The Lil’ Smokies, Larry Keel, Twiddle, Emmitt-Nershi Band, Blueground Undergrass, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, America, The Everyone Orchestra, Jeff Sipe, Ike Stubblefield, Kyle Hollingsworth, Joe Craven, Peter Rowan, and many more.
Full of charisma, Zeb draws inspiration from an impossibly eclectic range of influences including Classical, Blues, Jazz, Latin, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Funk, and Folk, through which he is able to effortlessly interpret anything at any time. He has developed a sweet slippery style all his own that has found the fancy of musicians and fans alike. Zeb can often be found provoking a jam anywhere he goes with folks he’s met along the way. Look for him on stage and late into the night making music!
