Will Younts

My name is Will Younts and I have been playing the drums since age 7. I picked up piano and guitar in high school and performed often on drums primarily in the Charlotte area. I attended UNC Greensboro for one year before transferring to UNC Asheville to finish my undergraduate study, earning a degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music. I have been gigging and recording regularly since moving to town but now I am performing most with two bands playing original music, Indigo De Souza's Icky Bricketts (on drums) and MJ Lenderman (on electric guitar). Both bands performed at Hopcotch music festival in Raleigh in early September. I also teach part-time at the French Broad River Academy for Girls. I am interested most at the moment in recording with interesting and driven musicians as well as teaching private lessons on drums.
