JP Furnas

 Multi-instrumentalist, JP Furnas, has been an Asheville native since 07’.  In that time he has deeply rooted himself in the local music scene as well as established a position playing bass and tuba with touring artists Empire Strikes Brass.  Locally he works playing bass or trombone with bands such as; The Dub Kartel, Below The Bassline, The Luv Boat, Jarvis Jenkins Band, The Secret B-sides, Unihorn, What the Funk?, Magenta Sunshine, Gruda Tree, Sparrow and Her Wingmen, and The Roaring Lions, among others.  On weeknights he hosts the Early Tuesday Jam at the One stop and Wednesday’s the Open Can of Jam at the Bywater.  Sunday’s he can be found hosting Good Vibe Sunday’s at Ben’s Tune-Up featuring local world class reggae.  Regardless of the project JP brings dedication, passion, and a positive attitude to all of his music.
