Edwin Mericle

I started playing drums in 1998 and haven't stopped since. I graduated from UNC Asheville with a bachelor's in music, focusing in jazz percussion. I've played in at least a dozen bands since moving to Asheville in 2007. I currently play in the indie-punk/post-hardcore band: Fantømex; as well as for the Asheville Waits Band (a Tom Waits tribute).  I'm fluent in playing drums for many different genres, including, but not limited to rock, jazz, country, reggae, hiphop, americana. I excel in stepping in for a last minute gig with an ability to learn your songs quickly and efficiently, even if it is in a large quantity.
