Harry Jacobson

Highly trained bassist with a performance doctorate from U. of North Texas, and study at Oberlin Conservatory, as well as Paris and Salzburg. Former principal bass in Knoxville Symphony, Erie Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles. Retired from 35 years at SUNY Fredonia teaching bass, theory and jazz studies. In addition to extensive and ongoing jazz experience, I have played in pits for operas and musicals. On electric, I have been the house bassist for Chautauqua Idol and played for shows in venues such as the Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas.
