Ryan Matthew Sargent

38 and in bands since I was 13. I play a lot of indie rock, blues, folk/americana with some hip hop on the side. Most recently I was the drummer for Pink Beds, an Asheville based indie band for the past 6 years. I also recorded and played with Barrett Davis on his solo album The Ballad of Aesop Fin (americana/folk) during this time. I love the sticks but miss playing the brushes as one I love it, but also find it to be a standout skill I have, good old war as a strong influence there. Indie rock and folk music being my primary I also love to play some funk, blues, post hardcore and punk, hip hop and jazz. I played drums in high school and college marching band, taught high school drumline (bass line).
