Rock Eblen

Having lived in Los Angeles for ten years pursuing a music and film career, ‘Rock’ Eblen returned to his native Asheville to write and produce his own shows. His first full  production was ROCKULA! A VAMPIRE MUSICAL in which he directed and  played the title character. Other productions included JC SUPERSTAR at Diana Wortham Theatre, and his original piece PINK LADY GROUP at Asheville Arts Center. He then mounted THE WHO’S TOMMY and produced,  directed, and acted in RENT which sold over 700 tickets during one  weekend. He followed with FOOTLOOSE the MUSICAL, Tony Award winning SPRING AWAKENING at Asheville Masonic Temple, and Pulitzer Prize winner NEXT TO NORMAL at ACT’s 35below. For 3 years he created and directed the annual ASHEVILLE FAERIE ARTS FESTIVAL at the Renaissance Hotel, and PIZZA  PANDEMONIUM at Highland Brewing Company.
