  Becstar hails from the lost island of Atlantis, hatched from an egg nestled in a cave on a green sea cliff. She comes from a lineage of ancient warrior dragons, endless radio, and the golden era of MTV. Her path to Becstardom seemed dormant for years. 

Trying to find her powers, she was drawn to venture as close as possible to an active volcano. Along the way, she stopped to frolic on a nearby beach. Suddenly, in her hands, a ukulele. It felt right. She was compelled to strum it. Incessantly. 

She began to find rhythms to the rhymes that were always popping in her head and the lyrics started bursting out of her like lava. Then… tentatively at first, flap… flap. She discovered her wings and her fiery roar. She can’t make it stop. Only surrender. 

Her style is eclectic. She has a penchant for raw, anthemic, evocative love songs and dope hooks. Becstar lives in Asheville, NC, with strange cats.
