Austin Barrett got his first guitar at the age of 6, and his interest in music has never faded. His first performance was at the age of 8, when he was asked to play The Star Spangled Banner for the Christmas Play. Soon after, his love for the guitar would morph into a broad love for all things music as he picked up the Clarinet in the middle school band. The Clarinet became the Trumpet, and then the Baritone, and eventually he became the section leader for the Tubas in the Tennessee High School Marching band, which placed 13th in the Nation in 2005.
With a now broadened sense of reading music and an understanding of group composition, Barrett went on to college with dreams of forming his own group. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Tennessee State University with a Minor Concentration in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music, while founding the popular Folk-Rock group The Rickshaw Roadshow. The band went on to tour the southeast, and released 2 Full Length, all original albums in only 2 years. Next, The Green Fingers became a passion project that released an EP and a Live Album.
Barrett began to seek more, and so he moved to Asheville, NC and enrolled in Berklee College of Music's online Master Program. 1 Year later, Barrett had graduated with honors from the program, held a schedule of over 35 clients weekly, and has founded a ticketing company based on his Master's Thesis.
